The Roadtrippers Retreat Experience guides women photographers through a five month mastermind, an immersive mountain retreat, and an optional Atlanta studio intensive so you can finally create with clarity and confidence.
Small group. Hands on Support. Real transformation
You have the passion. You have the camera. You may even know the basics.
But something still feels inconsistent.
Maybe your images are not as reliable as you want them to be. Maybe your workflow feels slower than it should. Maybe you are craving real community instead of trying to figure everything out alone.
You are not stuck. You just have not been given the right environment to grow.
If you have been searching for a photography retreat in Georgia that offers real hands on growth and meaningful support, you are in the right place.
For 2026, Roadtrippers Retreat has evolved into a deeper, more results driven photography retreat experience in Georgia.
Instead of trying to learn everything in just a few days, your transformation now begins months earlier inside our exclusive online mastermind from April through August. Together, we build the technical skills, lighting confidence, workflow efficiency, and business strategy that prepare you to step into the retreat ready to create at your highest level.
And because our photography retreat on Blue Ridge Lake is just about an hour and a half from Atlanta, you will also have the option to join us for an immersive bonus studio day at my Atlanta studio filled with hands on shooting and real time workflow training.
You will never feel like you are starting from scratch again.
Where everything you have learned comes to life behind the camera. Together on the shores of beautiful Blue Ridge Lake in Morganton, Georgia, just about an hour and a half from Atlanta, you will shoot, refine, and elevate your work during our intimate photography retreat in North Georgia.
Nearly twelve hours of guided shooting and real world workflow inside my Atlanta photography studio one day before the retreat begins. This optional add on day starts at 8:30am and ends at 8pm after a golden hour session in the field. This includes four styled shoots, live culling and editing, lighting training, and hands on support so you can apply what you are learning in real time before we head to the lake.
Build the skills and confidence now so you can create at your highest level later. Through twice monthly sessions from April through August, you will strengthen your shooting, lighting, workflow, business systems, and mini session strategy before our photography retreat in Georgia.
I created this photography retreat experience in Georgia because I know what it feels like to have the passion but still crave clarity, confidence, and real community. My heart is to help women photographers grow their skills, streamline their workflow, and build businesses that truly support their lives.
From my Atlanta studio to our lakefront retreat in North Georgia, you will be supported every step of the way.
You do not have to figure this out alone.
My Mission...
My name is Marcie Reif and I know what it feels like to second-guess your work. To feel stuck creatively. To wonder if you really belong in this industry. To crave genuine community but not know where to find it.
That’s exactly why I created the Roadtrippers Retreat. This isn’t just a getaway, it’s a transformational experience designed for women photographers who are ready to stop doubting and start growing.
This retreat was built to bring women together who share a deep love for photography, but who may also be feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or burnt out.
Here, you’ll find your people. Real friendships. A true support system of women who understand your struggles and will cheer you on long after the retreat ends.
At the Roadtrippers Retreat, we address the very things that are holding you back:
Struggling with confidence? We create space for hands-on learning with styled shoots, natural light guidance, and direct coaching, so you finally feel in control of your camera and proud of your results.
Feeling creatively uninspired? I choose locations that are jaw droppingly beautiful designed to reignite your creative spark and remind you why you fell in love with photography in the first place.
Lacking community? You’ll leave with lifelong friendships and a circle of women who truly understand this journey. You’ll never feel like you’re going it alone again.
Unclear on how to grow? We go beyond the camera with mentorship on pricing, branding, workflow, and building a photography business that’s both sustainable and soul aligned.

The Roadtripper's Retreat is an adventure that will set you free
Throughout the online mastermind and retreat, we will bring this masterclass to life through hands on shooting, editing, and portfolio and website reviews. You will head home with a printed 100 plus page workbook packed with everything we cover together.
Beautiful photos alone will not build a thriving photography business. To truly grow, you need to think like a business owner and put the right systems in place so clients can find you, trust you, and confidently book with you.
That is why the Roadtrippers business masterclass begins inside our online mastermind from April through August, then comes to life at the photography retreat through hands on implementation and real time guidance. After building a multi six figure photography business, Marcie is pulling back the curtain and sharing the exact strategies that help you grow with clarity and confidence.

Learn how to achieve your goals along side of fear. There is no magical cure to making fear disappear but we can learn how to create along side it, when to listen to it, and when not too. You will learn that your fears are very comparable to everyone in the room. We will finally convince ourselves that fear is here to stay but we can learn to push past those voices and get to work on our goals.
We all learn photography from different platforms. This chapter is to go over the basics and share how I set my camera up to get the sharpest images possible, what lenses I like to use, and how I use light. We will discuss light and how it effects everything including all of your editing. This chapter will dissolve some frustrations you're having with your images "missing" something.
Being good at photography is not enough to have a thriving business. This chapter is to learn about the pieces that need to be in place to have a successful business. We will discuss a functioning website vs a pretty website. The importance of an email list, how to create one, your client communication workflow, setting up forms to book your sessions and get paid. Sale and marketing and how to talk to your clients to convert them to a paying client, setting your prices, using social media and so much more!
Mini Sessions are one of my favorite topics to teach on. When photographers want to know how to make more money but they are afraid to raise their prices, this is your answer. I will teach you my mini session model that will significantly raise your annual income. My entire marketing, workflow, and system is included to turn these sessions back to clients quickly.
I have always been known for a strong and organized workflow that has genuinely allowed me to grow my business each year and add on more volume without spending a lot more time. I share all my secretes and exactly how I do things.
This is where we wrap up the goodness of the retreat and set out to achieve our goals. Not only do we talk about our goals we talk about the actionable steps it's going to take to get there. You will leave motivated with a vision and a goal for what's next.
If you are craving true hands on experience before we head to the mountains, this optional Bonus Studio Day is where the magic begins.
Because the retreat is just about an hour from my West Midtown Atlanta studio, we are opening the doors for an immersive, small group shooting experience designed to build confidence fast and give you portfolio worthy work in multiple genres.
This is not a watch from the sidelines kind of day. You will be actively shooting, learning, and refining your skills alongside me every step of the way.

Spots Are Almost Gone,Will One of Them Be Yours?
Everybody listen up, this retreat is THE retreat if you're looking to learn more, connect more, reset, relax, and feel inspired, and...RETREAT. Details are everything and Marcie Reif and her team has put their attendees at the focus for this event in every detail. From the education, the food (hello in-home chefs!), the speakers, the ameneties...everything! If you've been thinking about investing in yourself and your photography business, look no further and book it today before it sells out. I give this retreat 10/10 stars.
I came across this retreat and was hesitant about the cost. Kept praying about it and I jumped right in. I can’t even put into words how this has impacted my confidence. It’s intimidating going into something not knowing anyone. Marcie reassured me from the beginning and I trusted her. It’s an experience I’ll never forget. Every detail, even the food and hospitality. I walked away with valuable relationships and a community of photographers from all over. I learned a lot from different aspects. I taught others what I knew, not even realizing I could be a help to others. Marcie did an amazing job on all the details! Adding what I’ve learned and my confidence has given my business the push it needed to continue doing what I love.
I knew I needed to expand my knowledge, but daang I've learned even more than I expected!! As much as I didn't want to experience the end I could wait to get home to execute everything I've learned!! I feel so INSPIRED and a new fire has been lit! Thank you so much Marcie for putting this amazing retreat together.
The Roadtrippers Retreat was amazing. After coming home, today was the first time in a while I woke and was excited! Usually I wake up and know there is work to do, I enjoy it for the most part but today I woke up and my heart was burning, my mind racing a mile a minute, and I felt REALLY EXCITED.
I have no words to describe the last few days I spent in Florida with an amazing group of ladies. I traveled for almost 24 hours yesterday so had plenty of time to think of what I was going to say, but still, at am a loss for words. The Roadtrippers Retreat hosted by Marcie Reif was truly incredible. I did not expect, but I experienced the unexpected. An amazing community of talented photographers brought together in Florida just to talk about photography, business, and just life.
From the minute I arrive until the moment I left, I was blown away. Your efforts to make this retreat special really showed. Definitely was the best retreat I have ever been too. Thank you so much for everything you did and all that you shared. I learned so much and had a great time. A truly wonderful group of women.
What a wonderful time! I loved all of the education, the wonderful food and pampering, but most of all, making new friends!
Last year's retreat in Bear Lake was so awesome, I didn't know if it could be topped...but I may have loved this year even more!! the chefs were AMAZING, the session locations were unreal, and the house we stayed at all together was incredible. I loved getting to know all of the attendees and being able to learn from Marcie! My cup is full! Such an incredible experience and I'm already looking forward to the next one!!
Where to even begin. I have reflected numerous times on this trip. I signed up still shooting in auto. You were kind enough to have a zoom meeting with me and it motivated me to learn manual. I came in as a person who shot primarily landscape. I was a little nervous to go and finding out everyone had their own businesses was a little intimidating at first but everyone was so nice and I was there to learn so it was fine. Kim and Shalonda were also incredible additions! I appreciated their insight and mentorship immensely. There is just something you get from in person learning versus learning online. I’ve reached out to a few in the group afterwards and have done a few family photos since. Nothing huge but it has pushed me to a different level.
The details of the retreat and the well thought out planning really showed.
