This summer workshop will be the perfect avenue for kids who are interested in photography, and better yet aspire to stretch their creative wings behind the camera. This workshop will teach them the basic skills of photography with some advanced skills mixed in that can open many doors for them in the future. If your child is interested in working with photography in their school for sports and activities, yearbook, and social events they will be able to jump right in after this week of learning. There are 10 spots available each day which will make this a small group learning environment.

Located in Marcie’s large natural light studio (as shown above).
Students will learn to use natural light in the studio and outside
Drop off starts at 9:45am and pick up is at 2pm.

What will we cover?

Does my child need to bring a camera?
Yes, they need to come with a DSLR or mirrorless camera and a lens.
Do you have cameras available to them if they do not have a camera to bring?
Yes for a fee you can select to rent a camera for the class.
Is there a place I can rent a camera myself?
Yes, Aperturent is located on Roswell Rd. and you can rent any type of photography gear!
Will my child eat lunch at the camp?
No, but they can bring a hearty snack that we will eat in the middle of the session.
Will my child receive any resources to take home?
Yes, they will receive a spiral bound booklet with all of the information we learned from the week.
How many spots are open for each week of camp?
Only 10 spots are open each week which will provide a very small hands on group.
Is there a sibling discount?
Yes, you can save an additional $25 per family member. Ask for details.

Marcie is a former elementary teacher of 11 years in the Gwinnett County Public Schools, and although she isn’t in the classroom anymore she continues to merge her two passions of teaching and photography through workshops, webinars, mentoring, and now one of her big dreams, a photography workshop for kids!
Marcie Reif is an in-demand kids, family, commercial photographer, and photography educator in the Atlanta, GA area. Marcie is a Tamron Pro Ambassador and travels around the country each year speaking at conferences and leading other photographers. Marcie is also founder of The Roadtrippers Retreat, an educational experience for female photographers, and the author of the best selling instructional resource Bringing Home the Story of the Beach.
